3. Casting Crowns - Who am I

Who am I, that the Lord of all the Earth
Would care to know my name
Would care to feel my hurt
Who am I, that the bright and morning star
Would choose the light the way
For my ever wandering heart

Who am I, that the eyes that see my sin
Would look on me with love and watch me rise again
Who am I, that the voice that calmed the sea
Would call out through the rain
And calm the storm in me

Not because of who I am
But because of what You've done
Not because of what I've done
But because of who You are

I am a flower quickly fading
Here today and gone tomorrow
A wave tossed in the ocean
A vapour in the wind
Still You hear me when I'm calling
Lord, You watch me when I'm falling
And You've told me who I am
I am Yours

I've been searching, questioning my faith, wondering whether my dryness for the past 8 months or so could be restored back to a heart to seek after, or even just to be more sensitive to God. The taste and feeling of God's love embracing and overwhelming the troubles and things that bother me was something that I have missed out in this time period. This week, God has taken this Holy Week to show me and remind me about Him once again, His greatness, His power, and also his humility to come just for me and everyone else. Tainted by sin, it's like buying a broken toy from the department store. He sees beyond my defects and finds value that's shrouded deep inside, something that only someone who really knew me well enough could find. Heck, even I can't fathom what God values in me, I just know that there's something that's great, and for that I believe, and I will persevere. That is my strengthening of faith for this week, and for now... Happy Easter to everyone, both Christians and non-Christians.
